When I watch an anime, I don’t look at the little details like sound or animation quality to determine my love for a series in the end, it all just really comes down to just entertainment. If something really spikes my interest, I feel it, and it makes me want to watch more. Now this moment of perfect entertainment, I have yet to find in any anime. But it’s not like I’ve never experienced this emotion because if we take a look at American Television, when it comes to things like Breaking Bad or Supernatural, I know that this is the best I’ve seen from everything else. Even with manga I managed to find my own perfect one, which is Fruits Basket.
It seems that these days, people just look too much in stuff like Story and Animation. Amagami SS is probably the best example of a rather generic harem anime with average animation, but enjoyable girls and over the top kissing in certain spots. I guess I don’t think about the minor details when it comes to certain genres, but other genres like Drama, I take a better look at story along with animation and music…
From my top favorite anime, the Key Adaptations are petty much up the along with Haruhi.
Also, this post kinda reminded me of the post Yumeka made on how people decide on what Anime to watch… Pretty much the same question Lostty asked in this post.
