I’m pretty sure that Tomoyo and Kyou don’t get along with each other, thus makes this an interesting combination…
Life seems to cause all the drama in high school and college that causes hardship and pain. If you heard about the tragedy with Tyler Clementi, its hardships like this that shows the ugly side of life as a result of the two college students broadcasting of the victim‘s a sexual encounter. My mentioning of this is things that people, not just Anime Fans go through with.1
Furthermore, I am pretty sure that you have gone through some tragic events that affected your life such as a relationship that did not work out, loss of a family member or people bullying you because you are a minority. After reading Aorii’s first anniversary post on her blog that relates her difficulties to ones that the characters in an Anime goes through, it give me some thought on how Anime could relate to the hardships I have gone through in my life.

Overall, the performance of the dub with Fuko’s arc is pretty decent. Except for the usual flaws with a few missing minor lines and name pronunciation, Fuko’s performance and the jokes actually worked in English. Maybe not as good as the Japanese version, but good enough to get the same enjoyment.
This is probably one of the best Noto Mamiko roles besides the one from sola as Matsuri (No, Nogizaka Haruka doesn’t count since the second season is a disaster). Liked the voice from Kotomi… that same soft and very familiar sound after you watch several animes with Noto Mamiko in it. I had played Kotomi’s arc in the CLANNAD visual novel last year and replaying it again, but never got the chance to get any further. Probably after once finals are over is when I will resume.
Like I said, her violin playing isn’t good and Kotomi pretty moe as well while playing it. :p
Well, bitmapchaos on Twitter have post this really funny remark about the voice actors that Sentai Filmworks are using for the Clannad Dub… Get this:
Well, if you haven’t realized already, I just cracked up at that tweet. Anyways, if you haven’t seen the Wendy’s commercial, well Luci Christian will be doing the voice for Nagisa Furukawa… and get this, she also voices the Wendy’s commercial with that slogan, “It’s waaaay better than fast food. It’s Wendy’s.”
Oh my… what have we started here… and also, the Tweet in question…
