Here is the suggestions I have received from Reverse Thieves’ AniBlogger Secret Santa Event. From the list of three selections, I will decide one to watch and review… but the ones I pick will be a secret.
Info about these shows are shown below, provided by the Melative Item Plugin.
1
[melative_lime_meta]anime/Future Boy Conan[/melative_lime_meta]
2
[melative_lime_meta]anime/Kino no tabi[/melative_lime_meta]
3
[melative_lime_meta]anime/Haibane Renmei[/melative_lime_meta]
Thats it for now… I will pick one title to watch, marathon it during Thanksgiving Break and write a review that will publish on December 24, 2010.

I realize you are supposed to make this decision on your own (right?) but out of those three I would wholeheartedly suggest Haibane Renmei. Kino no Tabi is supposed to be similar to Mushishi but has a much worse artwork and the storyline isn’t as deep, from what I could perceive by watching the first episode. Now I have no idea whether Conan is any good but I highly doubt a 1978 anime can top a gorgeous looking, kind, thoughtful angel slice-of-life that is Haibane Renmei (in the league of Key’s works IMHO).

I probably won’t look at Conan considering how out of place it is since I cover mostly the modern stuff with Nanoha S1 being the earliest work I covered so far on the blog. I’ll take those other two into consideration.
