Several months too late… Anyways, I have written on this issue back in July of last year going on the side of the Eroge industry. Rape is wrong, we know that but that is only a small percentage of eroge. Most eroge games are Bishoujo games and now we have these extremists feminists groups I don’t like because they get offended over everything and a result in that is that we get laws that obviously violates the constitution and completely unconstitutional. If you don’t like Eroge, then SELF CENSOR IT! No one is stopping you, but don’t ruin it for everyone else.
Also, It’s stupid comparing violence to hentai. It’s like comparing apples to oranges. Violence is something that is more common… like the highly controversial game, Grand Theft Auto and people don’t complain about the violence in the game. Also, it is a proven fact that more people will commit violent acts compared to… well sex from video game content… so I don’t see this as a valid point at all. It’s just a biased article to put fuel on the put out fire.

It's just easy to bash on something that you don't know about. So people like to always pick something unfamiliar to many from somewhere far away and rant about it. Video games are another easy target. They can twist reality to “prove” crap, so Other country+ video game= zomg evil. Pissing in the wind. That's all it is. :/

True. Well keep in mind that the values differs from the east and west. It seems that Eastern Asia seems to approve more on well, sexual stuff while the West seems to be offended by it. The problem is, other countries shouldn't really be meddling into other values because they don't approve of it or like it. I have no problems with eroge, except that they are just… weird, but countries has no right to tell other countries they shouldn't make such content. It's imperialistic.Violent Video Games have been seen by some as a target, thanks to the infamous Jack Thompson. I wonder how many people remembered the “Hot Coffee” incident with Grand Theft Auto. Jack Thompson had a field day and eventually the game got a Adults rating, until it removed the extra content from the game. It wasn't enough and Jack Thompson attacked other games like The Sims 2 since you can remove the censorship and see nude… well, you know… His actions of course made gamers angry and eventually his attorney license got revoked. Thank god… People should chill out and stop being excited and say that X offend them. Like I said, if it offends them, then self-censorship it. :p
